Being Positive In UNCOMFORTABLE Times

Romans 4:17-25
We call Abraham “father” not because he got God’s attention by living like a saint, but because God made something out of Abraham when he was a nobody. Isn’t that what we’ve always read in Scripture, God saying to Abraham, “I set you up as father of many peoples”? Abraham was first named “father” and then became a father because he dared to trust God to do what only God could do: raise the dead to life, with a word make something out of nothing. When everything was hopeless, Abraham believed anyway, deciding to live not on the basis of what he saw he couldn’t do but on what God said he would do. And so he was made father of a multitude of peoples. God himself said to him, “You’re going to have a big family, Abraham!”
19-25 Abraham didn’t focus on his own impotence and say, “It’s hopeless. This hundred-year-old body could never father a child.” Nor did he survey Sarah’s decades of infertility and give up. He didn’t tiptoe around God’s promise asking cautiously skeptical questions. He plunged into the promise and came up strong, ready for God, sure that God would make good on what he had said. That’s why it is said, “Abraham was declared fit before God by trusting God to set him right.” But it’s not just Abraham; it’s also us! The same thing gets said about us when we embrace and believe the One who brought Jesus to life when the conditions were equally hopeless. The sacrificed Jesus made us fit for God, set us right with God.

Being positive is hard especially when the world seems hopeless and drowning under the waves.  The race is not always to the swift, but to those who keep on running.

Ecclesiastes 9:11" I took another walk around the neighborhood and realized that on this earth as it is—The race is not always to the swift,Nor the battle to the strong,Nor satisfaction to the wise,Nor riches to the smart,Nor grace to the learned.Sooner or later bad luck hits us all." But it's how we act upon the bad luck that will truly define who we are in Christ.
Take a look at Abraham it is truly amazing how no mater how long it took for a son to be born he still reminded positive and BELIEVED!!!!!!

Abraham was hundred years old when his son was born, he was seventy four when God promised him that he would have a son. His son being born wasn't just a miracle but a example that when times see so hopeless, and that everyone is being blessed before you all God is wanting you to do it believe and have faith and to speak positively over the situation and to remain positive. Proverbs 18:21 Words kill, words give life they’re either poison or fruit—you choose.

I wonder how i could have still believed God, it took twenty five years for this to come to pass. Would you have believe?  Many of us including me would have been questioning God "Is that what God really said?" Impatience often leads us into taking matters into our own hands. Sometimes our bright ideas turn out to be not so bright. These plans that we create we expect God to bless these because they seem more reachable then Gods plans.

But our own plans more than likely open up the door to confusion and chaos and this can hinder miracles. The bible is full of hope, encouragement and God promises good to those who serve him. Positivity and positive belief in God yields great results. Refuse to quite and do as 1 Corinthians 9:24 You’ve all been to the stadium and seen the athletes race. Everyone runs; one wins. Run to win. All good athletes train hard. They do it for a gold medal that tarnishes and fades. You’re after one that’s gold eternally.
